What a dumbass. I mean, I’m not trying to say that we don’t all pick up stuff from whatever we read, but like…. copying and copying and copying someone’s work just to make your own better? Just so you can pilfer their structure and their words? That’s so stupid. That’s not allowing your voice to come through, that’s fucking just… trying to become like someone else. That’d be like if I walked around all day in clothes like Professor Allen and spoke like her and read the books she reads just so I could be more like a professional educator. UGH. It’s just stupid. I don’t even really know why I’m getting so worked up about it. He’s just dumb. SENTENCE DIAGRAMING?! WHO ACTUALLY ENJOYS DOING THAT?! Those were the days I skipped most often in middle school. Those were the lessons I promised myself I’d never teach my future students. Ugh. He’s dumb.
